How to Prepare for a Session

There is nothing you need to do

No specific preparation is required before a session.

You do not need to arrive in a particular state, nor do you need to achieve anything in advance.

The work begins from wherever you are.

A stable starting point

If possible, it can be helpful to begin from a relatively settled place.

This might include:

allowing a small amount of time before the session

avoiding unnecessary rushing

creating a quiet environment (for remote sessions)

These are not requirements, but practical considerations.

Physical comfort

You may wish to ensure that you are comfortable during the session.

For in-person sessions, this is managed within the space.

For remote sessions, this may involve:

a place to sit or lie down

minimal interruption

a position that can be maintained without effort

Hydration

Maintaining normal hydration is sufficient.

There is no need for any specific intake beyond what is typical for you.

Food and stimulants

It may be preferable to avoid beginning a session:

immediately after a heavy meal

or in a highly stimulated state

Again, this is not strict, but may support a more stable starting point.

Expectation

There is no need to expect a particular type of experience.

Sessions vary, and there is no requirement to feel or notice anything specific.

The emphasis is not on producing an outcome, but on allowing a response.

Attention

During the session, there is no need to focus intensely or try to interpret what is happening.

A simple, relaxed awareness is sufficient.

A measured view

Preparation is not treated as a determining factor in outcome.

The session does not depend on getting anything “right” beforehand.
